Permanent daylight saving time would not create more winter daylight. It would move the daylight later on the clock. This is where broad claims about “more daylight” get too loose. A 5:20 p.m. winter sunset can be genuinely useful. For this group, the useful test is blunt: would your household be willing to trade a darker arrival window for a lighter after-work window?
